The property features tall original Georgian windows and beautiful ceiling cornices.

The house also has a "Secret" walled garden, which is perfect for a glass of wine, picnic or evening meal.

Each apartment comes complete with a modern kitchen with high-quality appliances and a welcome selection of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits.
In the basement, you'll find our Boot Room, suitable for keeping walking boots, bikes or kayaks - great for anyone seeking to explore the Lake District and local area.
Windermere, our ground-floor family apartment, has its own step-free entranceway and can accommodate wheelchair users.
The restoration was completed in 2024. Our owner worked with local architects, carpenters, builders and restoration experts to restore the historic cornices, architraves and windows throughout the property. Our goal was to breathe life back into the building's architectural character. The dedication of countless local craftsmen and women is woven into the fabric of Lonsdale House, and we thank them all for their enormous effort!
