House Rules
Check-in / Check-out
Apartments are available for occupation from 3pm on the day of arrival.
Properties must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure, and the key left in the key safe provided. There will be a £20 charge for any lost apartment keys.
Parking
Parking for the apartments is in nearby, convenient car parks at an additional charge. Unfortunately, there is no private parking onsite.
Guests & Occupancy
The person making the booking must be over the age of 18.
The number of guests is restricted to the number of beds appropriate to each apartment, plus one additional person who can access a sofa bed. Apart from a baby in a cot, no additional guests can be permitted.
A third guest beyond the number originally booked (excluding a baby in a cot) will be subject to an extra charge.
Smoking & Pets
Smoking is strictly prohibited in any enclosed areas inside the property. A charge of £100 will be made for any additional cleaning resulting from these rules not being observed.
Up to 2 dogs are accepted in each of our designated pet-friendly rooms. Please ensure this is confirmed by our staff prior to your arrival. Pets are subject to a supplement of £10 per dog per night. No other animals are permitted at Lonsdale House.
Pets must not be left unattended at any time.
Payments & Security
Full payment is required 48 hours before the arrival date. Prices include VAT at the prevailing rate.
A £99 Security Deposit is mandatory for every booking and must be provided prior to checking in. This deposit serves as a safeguard against potential damages, unpaid charges, or policy violations during the stay.
Alternatively, guests may opt to pay a non-refundable Damage Waiver fee, which is a lower amount than the security deposit. This fee provides limited coverage in place of the standard deposit but does not cover all potential damages or charges. Guests selecting this option acknowledge that they remain responsible for any costs exceeding the waiver coverage.
The security deposit hold, if applicable, will be fully cancelled 2 days after check-out, subject to an inspection of the property to ensure no damages, missing items, or outstanding charges.
Failure to provide either the required Security Deposit or the Damage Waiver fee may result in cancellation of the booking without a refund.
Facilities & Services
Bed linen, towels, heating, and electricity are provided free of charge.
WiFi access is provided on a complimentary basis and subject to a fair usage policy*. While Lonsdale House makes every effort to ensure connectivity, service may vary and cannot be guaranteed. The Host is not liable for any disruption, limited access, or unavailability during your stay.
Apartments will be cleaned prior to arrival. Daily or additional cleaning can be requested in advance for an additional fee.
All rentals are subject to availability, and Lonsdale House reserves the right to re-allocate to a similar or upgraded apartment as necessary based on operational needs.
Guests are expected to use the apartments with care, and will be liable for any loss, breakages or damage to a property or contents, as well as any resultant additional cleaning. The Company reserves the right to seek compensation for any damage discovered after departure.
A Boot Room is available to store luggage and bicycles for guests' convenience. While we aim to keep this space secure, Lonsdale House cannot guarantee the safety of items stored and is not liable for any loss or damage. Guests are asked not to leave valuables in the Boot Room.
Cancellation Policy
Should the booking have to be cancelled for any reason, notification should be made immediately in writing. Cancellation charges are as follows:
Free of charge if cancelled more than 2 days in advance of the arrival date.
If the booking is cancelled 2 days or less prior to the arrival date, no refund will be made. It is advisable to take out your own holiday insurance.
The cancellation policy outlined in this agreement does not apply to reservations made under a non-refundable rate through third-party booking platforms, including but not limited to Booking.com, Expedia, and Airbnb. For such bookings, the cancellation terms set by the respective platform at the time of reservation will prevail.
