Dog-Friendly Apartments in Ulverston

Bring your dog to the edge of the Lake District. Four of our apartments at Lonsdale House welcome up to two dogs, and we'll have a pet towel, a cosy basket, a drinking bowl and some treats ready for them when you arrive. We're in the heart of Ulverston, so there are walks right from the front door and plenty of places to explore together.

Every apartment has its own kitchenette, a walk-in shower, a Smart TV and free WiFi, and all our guests are welcome to use our walled Secret Garden.

Good to know before you book

Dogs are welcome in these four apartments only, and need to be arranged with us in advance, so please let us know about your dog when you book. There's a supplement of £10 per dog, per night, with a maximum of two dogs per apartment. We ask that dogs aren't left alone in the apartment, and we're only able to welcome dogs, not other pets.

Walks with your dog

Ulverston is a lovely base for dog walks. The Ulverston Canal runs for around a mile and a quarter from the edge of town to Canal Foot, a flat, easy walk with big views across the Leven estuary. Hoad Hill and the Sir John Barrow Monument are a short, steep climb from town, and Birkrigg Common has open grassland and views over Morecambe Bay. Further along the coast, Haverigg Beach is a quiet sandy beach that's popular with dog walkers. Please keep dogs on a lead wherever there's livestock.
