Cartmel is our premium apartment at Lonsdale House, offering a little more space and a few extra touches for guests who want something special, whether that's a romantic break, an anniversary, or simply a treat.

The suite features a double bed with quality linens, bathrobes and slippers, and a Nespresso machine. A welcome gift of Cumbrian chocolate truffles is included on arrival.

As with all our apartments, you'll find a walk-in shower, a fully equipped kitchenette, Smart TV with streaming services, and high-speed WiFi. A dedicated workspace also makes this a comfortable choice for business travellers.

Guests staying in the Cartmel Suite have a lovely view of our Secret Garden, a private enclosed courtyard and a lovely spot to sit out with a glass of wine or a morning coffee.

Ulverston town centre is just a short walk away, with independent restaurants, cafés, pubs and the famous Laurel and Hardy Museum. From Lonsdale House, Coniston Water is around 10 minutes by car, Cartmel village (home of three-Michelin-starred L'Enclume) is around 15 minutes, and Lake Windermere is around 20 minutes.
