Looking for a peaceful place to stay on the edge of the Lake District? Thirlmere is a double apartment in the centre of Ulverston, in our Grade II listed Georgian townhouse. It has a double bed and a sofa bed, and it suits couples looking for a quiet retreat or business travellers who want comfort and independence after a long day.
Thirlmere is on our top floor, reached by our period staircase. It has an interconnecting door to Hawkshead, so if there are more of you, you can book both and have two apartments that open into each other. You'll have a full kitchen to cook in, a walk-in shower, high-speed Wi-Fi and a clear table space to work at if you need one. We've fitted new mattresses throughout, and there is tea and coffee from Farrer's of Kendal waiting for you.
Our private walled "Secret Garden" is a lovely quiet spot for a coffee, and self check-in is from 3pm, so you can arrive when it suits you. Pay and display parking is available very close by.
You are a short walk from Ulverston's independent cafes, pubs and shops, and Lake Windermere is about 20 minutes by car.
