The Dickensian Christmas Festival fills Ulverston's streets on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November 2026. Lonsdale House is right in the town centre, so you can stroll to the stalls, come back for a warm drink in your own apartment and head out again for the evening.

The festival takes over the town centre with Victorian costumes, street entertainers, music and Christmas market stalls. Lonsdale House is on Daltongate, a few minutes' walk from the heart of it all, so there's no driving in and no hunting for a parking space on the busiest weekend of the year.
Check the official Dickensian Festival website for the programme and times.

Every one of our 13 self-catering apartments has its own kitchen, a walk-in shower and high-speed Wi-Fi, so you can bring back mince pies and mulled wine from the market and put your feet up. Check-in is self-service from 3pm, and you're welcome in our walled Secret Garden.

Our family apartments sleep up to 5, with free cots and high chairs, and four of our apartments are dog-friendly, with a welcome pack waiting for your dog. Festival weekends get booked early, so it's worth reserving now.
When you book with us directly, you'll always get our best price, plus an automatic upgrade when one is available. Any questions, call us on 01229 265217.
